The Read-a-Thon is On!

 The Read-a-Thon is On . . .

Our Read-a-Thon fundraiser kicked off on Friday and will continue until December 3rd. If you haven’t already done so, please register your child on our digital platform, Get Movin’ Fundhub, by clicking https://www.getmovinfundhub.com/register?school_uuid=5e3c2f667caf7  or Re-Login at https://www.getmovinfundhub.com/login to your parent dashboard and complete your child’s student webpage with a picture. (Hint: If you participated in the Read-a-Thon last year or Pump It Up in 2020, then you already have an account). Then email or text 10 friends and family and ask them to support your child and CMCS by making a $20 pledge. Even better, share your child’s fundraising page on Facebook or Twitter! We are asking each student to raise $200, which will go towards funding many of our enrichment classes next school year.

For this year’s Read-a-Thon, our students will be competing in teams in a virtual race through “Communityland: The Smartest Place on Earth” and the team that logs the most minutes of reading and earns the most money for our school WINS! There are a lot of fun prizes and incentives for our students who participate! Please register or re-login to see full list of prizes! Read-a-thon is more than a fundraiser, it incentivizes kids to read and fosters a love of reading! So, encourage your child to read TODAY and log in their minutes on Getmovinfundhub to help their team WIN!

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair.
This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school. After missing out on many beloved traditions, our fall Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from November 15th-19th in our library.
• Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too!
• If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage today to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping
We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Book Fair. We look forward to seeing your child there!
