Community Corner

  Good evening Community Families, Our team of Community elves was very hard at work last week- and it took teamwork! Some created a beautiful Winter Wonderland right on campus for distribution day. Others got the word out, via Fresh Schools, about the sudden change in distribution schedules. Most of the "elves" were on hand to distribute a variety of books, materials, and treats to almost 450 students. Ninety-nine percent of our families showed up to view the scene and pick up materials the students will need to get them through the next two months. A big hand to everyone who made the day the big success it was. It was magical! Our CMCS staff is THE best -- and our families, too!!!

 Good evening Community families, December 21, 2020 - January 8, 2021 School Resumes January 11, 2021 School Re-opening Survey Thank you for those of you who joined me for TeaTime with Toni this past Thursday. As of Friday morning, only 34% of families had completed the survey with 1/3 opting for online instruction only and 2/3 opting for the hybrid model. Today is the last day to submit your choice. Here is the link: https://reopening.lausd.net/familyselection . Remember, if you do not complete the survey, the hybrid model will be selected for you as the default.  Distribution Days December distribution days are scheduled for this Thursday and Friday, December 10-11. In addition to the materials that teachers are sending home, you will receive the Parent Handbook and guide, and a Book Pack for extra reading at home during the break. If you have students in separate classes and would like to make one trip, that is fine. You may choose which of the scheduled pick-up times to attend and
