Dear Community Families, Hispanic Heritage Month is such a special time for us to come together and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latine people—not only across our country and the world, but right here at our school. The traditions, stories, and voices of the Hispanic community make our nation stronger and our classrooms shine even brighter. We also know that this month can bring mixed emotions, especially when immigration raids and enforcement actions are in the news. Please know that LAUSD’s “We Are One” campaign reminds us that our schools are safe, welcoming places for every child and every family—no matter what. Our school will always be a place where everyone belongs. This year, we marked Hispanic Heritage Month with a wonderful assembly full of music, dancing, and delicious food from Hispanic cultures.
