A SPOOKTACULAR Week Ahead!

Hello Community Families, We are very excited about next week's Parade of Masks Car Parade!! Almost half of families RSVP'd for the event and about 83% plan to attend. The weather will be cooperating with a forecast of 75 degrees for Saturday. PoM committee members are stuffing treat bags, our Parade of Masks elves are working diligently on props, parents are donating decorations . . .    this is really happening !! If you responded that you would not be able to attend and have since changed your mind, that's fine! We are preparing 500 treat bags and would love to see all our CMCS Dragons at the parade!!  Please remember, distribution day will be Thursday, October 29th. Upcoming Events

 Hello Community, Here is information about upcoming events: Prospective Parent Meeting The second CMCS Prospective Parent Virtual Tour will take place on Tuesday, October 20 at 2:30 p.m. If you know any families interested in attending next school year, please let them know. Our third and final tour of the year will be on Sunday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m.. TeaTime with Toni TeaTime with Toni will be Thursday, October 22 at 4:30 p.m. I will provide information about the COVID-19 testing for students and answer questions you may have about the testing. On-Line Tutoring This week, grade level teams will be putting together small groups of 4-16 students per grade level to receive on-line tutoring from our teachers. The number of students will depend on the number of tutors available. Our focus will be students who are struggling to meet grade level standards during distance learning. Celebrating October!

  Happy October! October is one of the longest months with no school breaks, so Halloween comes as a welcome end-of-the month celebration with its tricks, treats, crazy costumes, and all out fun! While this Halloween will be candy-free for me (gotta lose these COVID pounds), I'm looking forward to the events planned for this month. I'm excited for the Hispanic Heritage Month presentations our 4th and 2nd graders have prepared, I can't wait to be entertained by the award-winning Jose-Luis Orozco, and I am thrilled that our families will celebrate Halloween together with the Parade of Masks Car Parades.
