Dia de los Muertos!

Image
Join us as we continue our Hispanic Heritage celebration           with a special program on Día  de los Muertos! Our 1st and 3rd graders have been working hard on their presentations and would love to show you what they've  learned. Both grades will perform in the auditorium on Tuesday, November 1st at 8:30am and then again at 1:10pm. First grade parents are welcome to come watch the morning show with our 1st, 2nd, and 5th graders.  Third grade parents are invited to come to the 1:10 performance along with our Kindergarten, 3rd, and 4th grade students. Parents may come at either time, but all parents will be asked to stand in the back of the auditorium to give seating preference to our students. Each show shouldn't last more than 15-20 minutes. Parents may park in the visitor lot, on the hill, or on the upper yard.  Thank you to our wonderful 1st and 3rd grade teachers and your amazing students!

Get ready for our upcoming annual celebrations which include performances by our 1st and 3rd grade classes, a cultural program highlighting an aspect of Hispanic Latino culture, and a tasting of delicious Hispanic Latino dishes. The Above & Beyond Club!

Happy Sunday, Community families, On Friday, we celebrated our first group of Above & Beyond students. Each teacher selected two students who went "above & beyond" in school. Students were chosen for a variety of reasons, including making great progress in schoolwork, showing positivity and a growth-mindset, and being a productive citizen in our school community. We celebrated by having lunch together followed by a movie in the auditorium. Above & Beyond students were invited to select one from a wide range of fiction and nonfiction books and were also treated to a popsicle snack, an In & Out restaurant coupon, and a Community Magnet bumper sticker/refrigerator magnet. Congratulations to all of our Above & Beyond students! You rock!!!!
