A Collage of Earth Day Art from Kindergarten - Room 6  APPRECIATION DAYS Appreciation Week is coming right up, and we need your help! Please encourage your student to write a card, letter, or draw a picture to let their teacher, TA, and/or other staff member know how much the work they do for our school is valued. These messages will be delivered on Tuesday, May 3rd during a luncheon in their honor. The deadline for turning in your cards and letters is Monday, May 2nd. We are trying to keep this a surprise…shhhh! Send your messages in an envelope addressed to Kathryn in the Magnet Office and we will sort them. Here is a list of our wonderful CMCS staff.   TeaTime with Toni Thursday, April 21 4:00 p.m. Special guest, Dr. Steve Lee, will discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on our students. COVID-19's impact on students is a topic of major interest for parents and educators all over the world. Now that we've returned to in-person instruction, we see the evidence of its impact on student behavior and achievement. Many students are exhibiting increased anger and aggression. Teachers and staff are noticing the lack of kindness, respect, and empathy shown to peers as well as a lack of social maturity. Parents are reporting increased anxiety and depression at home. We all have questions about how to best support our students as we slowly return to "normal".
