                       CELEBRATING ASIAN AMERICAN &                        PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH! Our 1st and 2nd grade classes will lead us in celebrating Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Their presentations will be on Tuesday, May 28. Our school-wide celebration will be Thursday May 23rd.

 It's Appreciation Week! It's been a very busy year, bustling with after-school activities, enrichment classes, field trips, fun draisers, and traditional events, like Grandparents Day. While safety and academic achievement remain at the top of our priority list, it's these extras that make Community a school, drawing families from all across Los Angeles, with a waiting list longer than any other magnet school in LAUSD. This year, more than any since I've been the principal of this amazing school, parents, teachers, staff, and community came together to offer a variety of experiences that develop character, appreciation for diversity and multiculturalism, and a love for the arts in our students, while maintaining our commitment to academic excellence.
