By now, you should have received an appointment (kindergarten) or invitation (Gr. 1-5) to meet with your child's teacher. Kindergarten conferences are  mandatory . Please attend this very important conference to ensure your child is off to the best possible start of his/her educational career. Grades 1-5 conferences are by invitation. Hello Community Family, My only daughter has flown the coop! Last week she made the big move to Seattle, Washington to begin her life as an adult. Those of you with older children probably understand what I'm feeling right now    - a mix of excitement, sadness, pride, fear . . .     But, I've been thinking a lot about it over the last few weeks, and I'm realizing that this whole parenting thing is by nature's design. I've made mistakes, of course, and am grateful that none have been detrimental. But as a parent, and as a teacher, I think the best thing I've done for my daughter and students has been to facilitate  their growth and development, rather than control  them. Good Evening Community Families, Last week was a busy one with Back-to-School Night and distribution/picture days! It was great to connect with parents and students and it was especially nice to see teachers and students meet each other in person- some for the very first time! That was priceless.  If you were unable to come for distribution day, just give us a call to arrange a pick up of materials. If you need to take pictures, we hope to arrange make-ups at the picture studio, so let us know. Some teachers were unable to record their Back-to-School Night presentations because of district technology limitations, so I sincerely apologize if you missed anything. We will continue to work on recording important meetings. MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE Please join us tomorrow for the Monday Morning Message.
