BLUE & YELLOW DAY at CMCS!
Fourth grader, Nell Golden, rallied her teacher, Dylan, and classmates to write a letter to the principal persuading her to show support for the Ukrainians. So, we had a Blue & Yellow Day at Community Magnet Charter School!!
ATTENDANCE
This is gentle reminder to send an absence note with your child when returning from an absence. A doctor's note is required for an absence of 5 or more consecutive days. After three absences with no explanation, students will be considered truant. As we approach the end of the school year, the office staff is busy clearing all student absences with no explanation from the parent or guardian. These absences will be considered unexcused.
What happens if you forget to send a note? Each month, Maria sends letters to all families with uncleared absences. If you receive a letter, it
is very important that you complete the form and return it within 10 days of receiving it. We know that sometimes students may forget to turn in absence notes or teachers may forget that a parent called or emailed the night before. But, even if you've already sent a note or called, we ask that you take the extra step of completing and returning the form to ensure that we have cleared all absences by the end of the school year.Thank you!!

*(Just 1 identified at Friday's testing. Great job, CMCS!)
*Please note that our COVID count may differ from that of the COVID Report Card. For the purposes of this blog, each case is counted only once, no matter how many times the individual tests positive after the initial test.
