Thank you for your Support!

Happy Labor Day, Community Families and Staff,

I hope you are taking full advantage of this wonderful four-day weekend and fabulous California weather with your friends and families.  You certainly do deserve it! In the spirit of this Labor Day weekend, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of the parents, friends, and staff that work so hard to make CMCS such a wonderful learning community for our students.  At Tea Time with Toni, I mentioned a few of the "daunting tasks" we needed to complete before distributing devices to our students and shared student performance data from the state assessments. Well, wouldn't you know that a few parents jumped right in to help by organizing paperwork, spiffing up computer carts, researching computer cart prices, and meeting with me to strategize ways to improve achievement?! There is so much that Community parents do for all of our students. I really want you to know how much you are truly appreciated!

We all want to contribute whatever we can to provide the best for our kids. If you haven't already signed up to volunteer or offer support at one of Community's amazing events, you'll have another opportunity do so at Back-to-School Night. You'll also have a chance to meet our Community Friends and Family (CFF) Board and Grade Level representatives.

This year, all Community Candidates were unopposed, eliminating the need for a ballot vote.

Congratulations to the 2019-2020 Community Council Parent Representatives:

       First Grade     -   Alex Lerner

This is an all-day event so you can have lunch and go back for dinner!! Be sure to pick up a flyer at Back-to-School Night to take with you so that Community Magnet gets the credit. Thank you for your support!!

Dance class returns next Monday with Charity. The Improv/Drama classes with Martha have been postponed until Wednesday, September 11.
