I Am Grateful For . . .

Hello Community Family,

The holiday season is upon us and, because of COVID, it will be like none we've experienced before. This year, it will take a bit more effort for me to get into the holiday spirit. The resurgence of the COVID virus will prevent many families from spending time together this Thanksgiving. There will be no Holiday Pageant at Community this year. Any plans we had for a school reopening this semester have been thwarted. So, you know, now may the perfect time to think about the things in our lives for which we should be grateful.

I am grateful for . . .

. . .  a COVID vaccine on the way! At least we can be hopeful that the reopening of schools is in the foreseeable future. Join me for Tea Time with Toni after Thanksgiving to hear more about that.

. . . The Community teachers and staff because they are really talented, caring, funny, intelligent, and generous people! Recognize one of them during our Staff Spotlight. Get the link below.

. . . the Community family. We are strong and continue to work hard to make the best of our current situation. We are all in it for our kids! Please let us know if we can support you for the holidays. And, if you can offer your support, don't forget Dine & Donate this Thursday at Lemonade.

. . . a NEW year on the way and with it, hope that it will be so much better than 2020! Let us know how we can improve at CMCS by completing the annual School Experience Survey.

What are you and your family grateful for this year?

Support for the Holidays

As we approach this holiday season, with the stress and uncertainty caused by the pandemic, we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and hearts. We don't know the depths of your personal struggles or how your family may be affected financially. If our Community family can help you by providing a meal and/or some gifts for the kids during the holidays, please don't hesitate to reach out. We hope to be able to fulfill all requests . . . and all requests will be kept confidential. Please complete this request form by 11/29/2020 by filling out all fields that would help your immediate family during this holiday season.
