Good Evening Community Families, It was WONDERFUL to see the beautiful, happy, and excited faces of our students last week!! Thank you, parents, for your kindness, patience, and support. I would like to thank our AMAZING parent volunteers for helping us through the first week back to campus. These parents helped with valet, unloading buses on the upper yard, checking students in, taking their temperatures, and escorting them around campus. We could not have done this without your support!!!! Thank you to the parents who treated our entire staff to burritos for lunch, bagels and lunch for the office staff, and a wall-mounted thermometer for our students!! I'd like to share this thank you note I sent to the CMCS staff on Friday night. I think it's important you know how very hard they worked for you last week: Good grief,  it's  finally  Friday night!  We made it through this very challenging week and I am so grateful for the weekend ahead. While it was  far ...

Hello Community Family, As students, teachers, and staff return to campus this week, we are very excited and, of course, a little nervous, too. Thank you for attending last week's two Tea Times with Toni. Thank you for your questions and confirming that your children are set with transportation and childcare. And thank you for being patient and supportive as we manage this week. Please send me an email if you have any questions: trk2932@lausd.net .  Let's work together to make this a GREAT WEEK!!

April is Global Diversity Awareness Month

“We may have different religions, different languages,  different colored skin,  but we all belong to one human race.” –  Kofi Annan IMPORTANT MESSAGE: As our community returns to campus during this Global Diversity Awareness Month, it's important that we remember that one of our biggest strengths is diversity. All  CMCS  children and families are welcomed, valued, and appreciated for what they add to our mix of races, ethnicities, languages, cultures, and beliefs. During the month of April, each Monday Morning Message will focus on tolerance and acceptance of all community members, which includes those who identify as LGBTQ. The messages will be age-appropriate and follow LAUSD guidelines. I hope you continue these conversations of tolerance and acceptance with your children.  Thank you for your contribution to our wonderful Community Family! ❤️❤️ Sincerely, Toni
