Happy Holidays to All!

Happy Holidays to All!!

The winter season is my favorite time of the year because it stirs up memories of Christmases past. The most exciting part for me are the Christmas pageants. I clearly remember singing "O Christmas Tree" with my kindergarten classmates. Our  pageants were held at night, so the stage lights were especially bright and the cold, snowy night made it even more magical. Now, it cheers my heart to see our students performing in the annual pageants. This year will be especially wonderful since it will be the first live show in a couple of years. I hope you are able to attend the Winter Program and enjoy it as much as I will. I assure you, it will be magical!

"The School Cup" by Olivia R.

Olivia R. is a 4th grader at Community and participated in the "School Cup" which was organized by Coach Dareh. Olivia was so excited about this fun event, she had to write about it!!!

Hello Community Magnet! Yesterday, the 4th and 5th grade students played in the "World Cup", aka the "School Cup"! And from my experience, it was . . . the BEST thing ever!

I was taking a break, just drinking some water, when I saw some people cheering, spreading kindness and cheerfulness, and showing sportsmanship. When other teams were on their break, they were also cheering on their classmates, or practicing their soccer skills on the side.

Overall, I think the "School Cup" was an amazing event that I look forward to play in every year, I hope!

Thank you, Coach D, for making this super fun event!!

THE CMCS HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE

December 12-December 16th

To raise money for culmination, the 5th grade class will be running a Holiday Boutique in the library where students can pick out holiday gifts for their family and have them wrapped right on campus.  We'll have it open on the day of the Winter performances for adults to shop as well.  Please fill out the proper paperwork if you'd like to volunteer (we need you!) and help us by donating shopping bags and gift wrap items (scissors, tape, bows, wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue, gift tags, and lots of scotch tape!)  Bring all items to Kathryn's office by December 12th.
And if anyone has a cash register we could borrow, please let us know!  Thank you!
