I Am Grateful For . . .

Hello Community Family, The holiday season is upon us and, because of COVID, it will be like none we've experienced before. This year, it will take a bit more effort for me to get into the holiday spirit. The resurgence of the COVID virus will prevent many families from spending time together this Thanksgiving. There will be no Holiday Pageant at Community this year. Any plans we had for a school reopening this semester have been thwarted. So, you know, now may the  perfect time to think about the things in our lives for which we should be grateful.  I am grateful for . . .   . . .  a COVID vaccine on the way! At least we can be hopeful that the reopening of schools is in the foreseeable future. Join me for Tea Time with Toni after Thanksgiving to hear more about that. . . . The Community teachers and staff because they are  really talented, caring, funny, intelligent, and generous people! Recognize one of them during our Staff Spotlight. Edith Pensamiento and Fabiola Bermudez set up the most beautiful, colorful Dia de los Muertos display! Parent Velicia Misher made numerous store runs, donated countless items, helped with set up, and then came back immediately  after  the parade to help clean up.   There were SO many volunteers who helpe
